Product Description

Product description

O-ring is a rubber sealing ring with a circular cross-section (also called O-shaped). It is called O-rings in English. It is generally installed in a groove with a rectangular cross-section on the inner or outer circle for sealing function. . As a versatile seal, it has many advantages such as easy manufacturing, reliable function, simple installation and low price. The national standard for O-rings is GB3452.1-92. In addition, there are Japanese standard JISB2401, American standard AS568, German standard DIN3771 and international standard ISO3601-1-2012. Commonly used materials include nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, Silicone rubber, fluorine rubber, etc., the working pressure range is 0-30MPa, the working speed is less than or equal to 15m/s, the working temperature range is -55~250℃, the hardness standard range is 70~90 degrees, and can be applied to hydraulic oil, gas, water, Acid, crude oil, mud, emulsion, water-glycol and other media. O-rings are mainly used in aviation, automobiles, sensors, medical, valves, bearings, pumps, instruments, meters, electrical appliances and other industries. Our company can customize O-rings in various colors according to the drawings, samples, materials, specifications, etc. provided by customers.

Features and advantages

① Excellent performance and long service life. The service life is at least 5 to 10 times longer than that of ordinary rubber sealing products. It can even maintain the same service life as the sealing matrix under certain special conditions.

② Widely used, it is the most widely used seal in hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems. It can provide excellent shock-absorbing sealing effects in various complex environments such as acid and alkali, oil resistance, wear resistance, chemical erosion, etc.

③ The friction resistance is small, and the dynamic and static friction forces are equal, which can eliminate the crawling phenomenon when moving at low speed or low pressure.

④ It has strong self-lubricating performance and can be used as an oil-free lubricating seal.

⑤ It has strong wear resistance and has automatic elastic compensation function after the sealing surface is worn.

Compared with other sealing rings, O-rings have the following advantages:

① O-rings can be used in various static sealing or dynamic sealing forms.

② The groove specifications and dimensions have been standardized and are highly interchangeable.

③ Suitable for a variety of movement modes, such as rotational movement, combined movement and axial reciprocating movement.

④ Suitable for various sealing media, such as oil, water, gas, chemical and mixed media, etc.

⑤ Diversified optional materials, excellent sealing effect, and wide operating temperature range.

⑥ The product design has a simple structure, easy installation and easy removal and replacement.

Material type

O-rings include silicone rubber VMQ, fluorine rubber FKM/FPM, silicone fluorine rubber FLS, nitrile rubber NBR, polyurethane rubber PU, neoprene CR, ethylene propylene rubber EPDM, styrene-butadiene rubber SBR, natural rubber NR, butyl rubber There are more than ten different material types such as BU, polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE, acrylic rubber ACM, hydrogenated butadiene rubber HNBR, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber CSM, etc.

Hardness selection

The hardness value of O-rings is in the range of 40 to 90IRHD, and the hardness of 70IRHD is usually used. Some individuals such as silicone rubber use 60IRHD. If the hardness is high, installation will be very inconvenient. However, if the hardness is too low, although installation is convenient, it is more likely to cause problems such as installation damage, product peeling, extrusion, and even pressure explosion.

Application areas

O-rings are mainly used for static seals and reciprocating seals. They are currently widely used in various mechanical equipment, such as automobiles, ships, aerospace, CNC machine tools, metallurgical machinery, chemical machinery, engineering machinery, mining machinery, construction machinery, petroleum Machinery, agricultural machinery, plastic machinery and instrumentation, etc., a large number of different types of O-rings are used in these equipments.
