When selecting maintenance seals, it is recommended to use the following procedures to improve the accuracy of purchasing seals:
Direction of motion: First determine the direction of motion where the seal is located, such as reciprocating, rotating, spiral, or fixed.
Key sealing points: For example, determining whether the movable point is in the inner diameter of the rod seal or the movable point is in the outer diameter of the piston seal.
Temperature level: Consult the original mechanical instructions or evaluate the working temperature based on the actual working environment to determine the required materials. For instructions on temperature levels, please refer to the following precautions for production users.
Pressure level: Refer to the relevant data in the original mechanical instructions, or infer the working pressure level by observing the soft hardness and structure of the original sealing parts. For instructions on pressure level, please refer to the following precautions for production users.
Size: Most users will choose based on used old samples, but the original size of the seal will be greatly affected by factors such as temperature, pressure, and wear after a period of use. Choosing according to the sample can only serve as a reference. A better method is to measure the size of the metal groove where the seal is located, which will have higher accuracy.
